Police: heroin, cash seized in Warrrington

About 250 bags of heroin and $2,000 in cash was seized from a Warrington Township apartment recently, police announced Wednesday.

Three people were arrested, according to a press release from Warminster Township Police, after the drugs were found in an apartment on the 500 block of Easton Road.

Police did not say how much heroin was in the bags, or when the operation took place, and did not immediately respond to questions.

The arrests come amidst an increased push by law enforcement officials to combat what they say is a rise in heroin use in the county.

Edward Warner, 29, of Warrington, and Jose Rivera, Jr., 23, of Philadelphia, were charged with posession with intent to deliver and were being held at Bucks County Prison on $100,000 bail, the press release says.

Paula Pisechko, 45, was charged with posession of drug paraphernalia.

Warner, according to court records, pleaded guilty in 2011 to offenses including driving under the influence and simple assault.

Rivera was found guilty in 2009 to a number of charges in Philadelphia, court records show, including posession of marijuana, and posession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute or deliver.

Pisechko has previously pleaded guilty to theft and posession of a controlled substance, according to court records.
