WASHINGTON – Did a freshman Philadelphia congressman just break major political news?
U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle, a Democrat, wrote on Twitter this morning to his 2,650 followers that Vice President Joe Biden will run for president.
The political world, of course, has been waiting for weeks to hear whether Biden would jump into the race. The vice president has strong ties to Philadelphia and Pennsylvania (he was born in Scranton), so it's not hard to imagine that if a decision was made, word might reach Boyle.
We'll keep an eye out to see if his sources are on point.
