Grinch accused of horse-show theft

As the West Vincent Township supervisors show no sign of withdrawing their plan to seize the grounds of the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show by eminent domain, the organization is countering what it views as Scrooge-like behavior with a holiday invitation.

As the West Vincent Township supervisors show no sign of withdrawing their plan to seize the grounds of the Ludwig's Corner Horse Show by eminent domain, the organization is countering  what it views as Scrooge-like behavior with a holiday invitation.

Supporters are urged to attend "Christmas Carol on Horseback: Save our Show Grounds" on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the grounds on Route 100. In addition to a public reading of "How the Grinch Stole the Horse Show," carols will include: "All I Want for Christmas is My Horse Show" and "There's No Place Like Ludwig's for Labor Day."

Children and animals — especially horses and carriages — are welcome, organizers said. The show rings and jumps will be open, and hot chocolate, marshmallows and hot dogs will be served.
