FORMER PHILADELPHIA PRISONS COMMISSIONER, LEON KING, LAUNCHES LEONKING.ORG AS A PLACE TO SUGGEST AND DISCUSS IDEAS FOR IMPROVING SAFETY IN PHILADELPHIA.

In 2008, Philadelphia witnessed yet another year with high levels of violence, most notably the record number of fatalities suffered to police officers in the line of duty. So what can be done within the criminal justice system, to make the city a safer place and effectively use its resources?

As an expert on the Philadelphia Justice System, Leon King possesses several innovative ideas on reforming the system. He calls for active participation from the community as a whole to address this issue; the first step being to engage in the dialogue of ideas on his newly launched website http://www.leonking.org/. This discussion can be a catalyst to effective solutions for creating a safer Philadelphia.
