Today is the last City Council session for six members

It's City Council's last session of the year and with six members retiring, it can be expected there will be tons of farewell speeches and tears.

Council president Anna Verna will be retiring after becoming the first woman to hold the highest seat in Council. She is also the longest serving member in City Council having been a member since 1975.

Other retiring members include Joan Krajewski, Donna Reed Miller, Frank DiCicco, Jack Kelly and Frank Rizzo Jr., who lost his bid for reelection earlier this year due in part to his participation in the Deferred Retirement Option Plan.

Councilwoman Marian Tasco introduced six resolutions today honoring all six of the retiring members.
