First it was Anderson Copper; now Stephen Colbert loses it over the French actor
Late night comics live for moments like Gerard Depardieu's barnyard antics on a flight this week. The legendary actor's premature evacuation on the plane launched a thousand jokes and one out-of-left-field viral video: CNN host Anderson Cooper breaking into an uncontrollable giggle fit on the air as he made some potty puns about Depardieu.
The incident continues to have a ripple effect. Last night, Stephen Colbert used Cooper's breakdown to go on a riotous riff of his own (see video below).
"I have always been intimidated by Anderson Cooper's legendary composure under pressure," he said , "but I think we have finally found Anderson's weakness."
He later identified Cooper's "Kryptonite" as "celebrity poop jokes". Then he unleashed a stream of them until finally losing it over the name of one of the hosts on Fox & Friends.
Depardieu is like a comedy spring that just keeps gushing.
