Ron Burgundy takes over Bristol VIDEO
Will Ferrell’s Anchorman takes a shift at ESPN
Man, if there's an MVP in Hollywood, it's got to be Will Ferrell. Not only will he make your movie funny (which he apparently does in Anchorman 2 out Dec. 25), he'll also tirelessly promote the project in character for months.
Ferrell's Ron Burgundy has been showing up everywhere, from Dodge commercials to local news broadcasts in Bismarck, North Dakota. You cannot get more obscure than that, my friends.
Now the legendary leisure-suited newsman is taking over sports. Here's a clip of him on ESPN interviewing Peyton Manning, whom he refers to as "a succulent baby lamb."
Want more? On Thursday, Burgundy will host the 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter, along with his usual jock sidekick, Champ Kind (David Koechner).
Just give the man his own 24/7 channel. Burgundy TV.
