Aaron McKie joins CSN coverage

Aaron McKie, a former 76ers fan favorite, has joined Comcast SportsNet's Sixers pre- and post-game lineup.

He'll work alongside former Sixers coach and general manager Jim Lynam and John Celestand in providing analysis.

McKie was not retained as a Sixers assistant coach when Brett Brown was named head coach in August. He had been a holdover from former coach Doug Collins' staff and had another year left on his contract.

McKie, a local product having played for Simon Gratz High School and Temple University, wore the Sixers uniform from 1997-2005.  During the team's run to the Finals in 2001, he was named the NBA's 6th Man of the Year.

After retiring from the game, McKie was an assistant coach with the Sixers from 2007-2013.
