Arrest in homicide of 17-year-old
A North Philadelphia man, not even a year into adulthood, has been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in September, according to police.

Jason "Cassius" Broaster, 18, of Harold Street near 26th, has been charged with murder and related offenses for the death of Naaire Murray on Sept. 8. Police said Broaster was arrested today in Atlanta, Ga., without incident.
According to police, Murray was shot inside of his house on Huntingdon Street near 25th around 8:50 p.m. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:50 p.m.
Police have listed the motive for the slaying as an "argument," but did not detail the nature of the dispute. In the aftermath of the shooting, cops found 19 shell casings at the scene.
Broaster's father, Cassius Broaster, and his uncle, Jerome, were once dubbed "The worst people in the city as far as violence is concerned," and they are currently awaiting trial for conspiracy to sell crack and PCP.
