Cops: Man in 'Incredibles' suit punched cabbie

A couple who dressed as the "The Incredibles" for Halloween stiffed a cabbie on his fare and when the taxi driver confronted the male suspect, the man dressed as Mr. Incredible allegedly punched the cabbie in his face and ran away, according to police.

Well, this was incredibly stupid.

A couple who dressed as the "The Incredibles" for Halloween stiffed a cabbie on his fare and when the taxi driver confronted the male suspect, the man dressed as Mr. Incredible allegedly punched the cabbie in his face and ran away, according to police.

Perhaps costumes from "Monsters, Inc." would have been more appropriate for this less-than-dynamic duo.

According to police, around 3:48 a.m. on Oct. 31, the 62-year-old cab driver picked up the couple at Front and Spring Garden streets and drove them to the 7-Eleven on Ridge Avenue near Rector Street in Roxborough.

The couple did not pay for the cabbie before they went into the store, so the driver followed them in and asked for the $40 fare, with no luck.

When the couple walked out of the store, the driver again tried to get his money and this time, the male suspect punched the cabbie in his face, causing a severe gash that the driver had to get treated at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, police said.

Given that the couple did not wear a very important part of their costumes - the masks - they're pretty easy to see in surveillance footage that police obtained from the store, which you can check out here.

Anyone with information on the identity of either the wanted male or the female who accompanied him is to call the department's tip line at 215-686-8477.
