Cops: Man killed in N. Philly shooting

A man died tonight, cut down in a deserted walkway.

Just after 9:30 p.m., police received reports of a person shot inside Raymond Rosen Manor on Edgley Street near 23rd in North Philly, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

When officers arrived, they found a 29-year-old man shot three times in his head, Small said.
Philadelphia Housing Authority officers took the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he died about 20 minutes later.

There were no witnesses to the shooting, and no information is available on the suspect or motive, Small said.

The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, does not live at Rosen Manor, and is believed to have been visiting a friend at the time of the shooting, Small said.
