Police are searching for a man who used a threatening demand note to rob a T.D. Bank branch in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday evening.
The man walked into the bank on Woodhaven Road near Knights Road around 5:50 p.m. and slid a teller a demand note, police said.
The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash — which contained a dye pack — and he fled the scene on foot, police said.
The dye pack exploded on the man after he ran from the bank, said Chief Inspector Scott Small, and the man was last seen running on Woodhaven Road.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, who is about five feet three inches tall and is in his 30s. He was wearing a gray hooded sweater and jeans.
