Gunman blasts victim over $1

An armed mugger irate that his victim had just $1 to offer shot the man in the stomach in Germantown early this morning.

The victim, 21, remains in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Two robbers approached him and his 19-year-old friend just before 3 a.m. at Chelten and Chew avenues and announced the holdup, police spokeswoman Officer Christine O'Brien said. Police reported no suspects.
