A 28-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot four times on Auburn Street near Frankford Avenue in Kensington Thursday evening, police said.
The man parked his car and was walking along Auburn Street when an unidentified man walked up and began shooting, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The victim was shot once in his chest, once in his abdomen and twice in his legs. Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital.
Cops were unsure of the shooter's motive Thursday night, and could not provide a description of the suspect.
However, Small said a dark BMW with tinted windows was seen fleeing the area heading east along Somerset Street immediately after the shooting.
No arrests were made.
