Man, 19, critically wounded in North Philadelphia shooting

A 19-year-old man was in critical condition after police say he was shot in the chest on a corner in North Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon.

A 19-year-old man was in critical condition after police say he was shot in the chest on a corner in North Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon.

Shots rang out at 2:20 p.m. at 24th and Oxford streets, and the man was hit in the right side of his chest, according to cops. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he remained in critical condition around 4 p.m.

Cops said they were holding a man and a vehicle in connection with the shooting Wednesday afternoon, but no weapon was recovered.
