Man, 25, critically wounded in shooting in Wissinoming

A 25-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting Tuesday night in Wissinoming.

Police said the victim was on Sanger Street near Torresdale Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. when he was shot once in the upper right thigh. He then walked to a Chinese take-out restaurant at the corner of Sanger and Torresdale, where he was found unconscious upon police arrival.

The victim was rushed to Aria Health's Torresdale campus and taken into surgery, police said.

There is no description of the shooter or a motive at this time.
