Man arrested in Logan shooting homicide

William Chapman, 19, of North Philadelphia, was arrested Friday in connection with a mid-April shooting homicide in the Logan section of North Philadelphia.

Chapman, of 12th Street near Courtland, allegedly shot Khalil Stanley, 18, around 10:40 p.m. on April 14 on 11th Street near Wyoming Avenue.

When police arrived, they found Stanley lying on the pavement with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center and later died, police said.

Chapman is being held without bail in the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on May 23, according to court documents.
