A man who police said was in his 20s was shot and killed in East Germantown about 11 Tuesday night.

The man was shot multiple times in the abdomen, police said, and died about 20 minutes later.

Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said the man was likely shot on Belfield Avenue, and ran to the street's intersection with Cosgrove Street, where officials found him.

Police took the man to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m.

The man was not carrying any identification when he was shot, and police said officials in the homicide unit were interviewing witnesses Tuesday night.

There was no information available on possible suspects.
