A man was gunned down in Port Richmond early Thursday, slain before the sun had risen on an bright, warm Thanksgiving.
Officers responding to reports of a person with a gun found the victim, 21, lying on Almond Street near Venango just after 5 a.m., police said. He had been shot once in his chest.
Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 miuntes later.
There is no information available on a motive or suspect.
