Man wanted in Wynnefield convenience store robbery

A man is wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery at a convenience store in Wynnefield on Aug. 30, police said.

At around 10:26 a.m., a man walked into the Community Mini Market on Georges Lane near Montgomery Avenue and immediately walked behind the cash register, police said.

He pulled a gun and demanded cash from the register, police said. The man snatched an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before he fled the scene.

The robber is described as a bearded black man who is about 20-years-old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds, police said. He has a thin build, a medium complexion and was wearing a pink shirt and dark khaki shorts.
