Massage parlor death a mystery

The coroner has yet to release the cause of death of a woman found inside a Philly message parlor last night.

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the cause and manner of death of a woman found inside a Center City message parlor Sunday night, according to police.

An anonymous caller dialed 911 from a Delaware County phone booth to alert authorities to the woman's death, police said.

She was found around 9:30 p.m. in a bed on the second floor of the illegal massage parlor on Sansom Street near 8th. The 35-year-old woman was fully clothed and there were no apparent signs of a struggle or gunshot or stab wounds, police said. She was subsequently pronounced dead at 9:58 p.m.

An ad in the Jan. 6 edition of Philadelphia Weekly showing a buxom, young Asian woman with the word "Ace" scrolled above her head, lists the exact address - 813 Sansom Street, 2nd fl. - as a place to "Enjoy Relaxation with our Beautiful, Young, Asian Staff." A number listed on the advertisement went unanswered Monday morning.
