PNC robbed in Center City

Police and the FBI are seeking the public's help in locating the suspect in a bank robbery at a Center City PNC branch earlier this afternoon.

At about 3:20 p.m., the suspect entered the bank at 18th and Market streets and showed a demand note to a teller. After securing an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 9 with a tall, thin build. During the robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black Phillies cap and blue jeans.

He's considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 215-418-4000, or the Police Department at 215-686-8477. Tips can also be texted to the department at PPD TIP or 773847.

There may be a reward for information leading to this suspect's arrest, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
