Police ID man killed in weekend shooting

Police today identified the weekend's only homicide victim, who was shot and killed late Saturday in West Oak Lane.

Clarence Quarles, 45, was shot several times in his chest, abdomen and legs on Uber Street near 65th Avenue, the block that he resided on, Officer Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman, said.

Quarles was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center about 30 minutes after police found him.

No information on a motive or suspect is available, Little said.
