A young woman told police a man jumped out of a vacant house in West Philadelphia, dragged her back behind it and then raped and robbed her Sunday night.
The alleged attack occurred at 9:50 p.m. on Girard Avenue near 39th Street, police said.
The 22-year-old victim told police a stranger with a gun forced her behind a vacant home, physically and sexually assaulted her and then stole her cell phone.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s or early 40s, 5-foot-9, of average build and dark complexion, with a mustache and beard. He wore a dark-colored jacket and pants, black gloves and a skull cap and carried a hand gun that was possibly black and semi-automatic.
