Forget trick-or-treat. Two bank robbers in Halloween masks made dough-or-death demands at two suburban banks in recent weeks, and the FBI is asking the public's help to identify the masked thugs.

In the most recent case, a man in a monster mask similar to one worn by the killer in the movie "Scream" held a teller up at gunpoint at 10:22 a.m. this morning at the TD Bank at 256 S. York Road in Hatboro, according to the FBI. Detectives believe he also robbed the same bank July 25.

The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark-blue, older-model Buick with the stolen Pennsylvania tag GKM 2042. Although a Halloween mask covered his face and head, investigators described him as an older white male, about 6-feet tall, of medium build, with white hair. He wore a light-colored denim jacket, jeans and white sneakers.

In another robbery involving a suspect in a Halloween mask, an armed robber in an old-man mask and gray wig robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 4275 County Line Road in Chalfont at 2:07 p.m. Sept. 24. That robber also had a handgun and demanded money from a teller - and he fired a shot during the robbery. No one was injured. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

That robber's actual race and age are unknown, as he was wearing a full-face mask and wig. He was about 6-feet tall with a heavy build. He wore a long-sleeve, green-and-white gingham-pattern shirt over a white v-neck t-shirt, dark-colored pants, sunglasses and what looked like brown driving gloves. That robber also is believed also to have robbed the same bank June 13 and to have tried to rob the Wells Fargo bank at 8527 Germantown Ave. June 2.

Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Tipsters, call the FBI at (215) 641-8910, Hatboro police at (215) 675-2832 or New Britain police at (215) 822-1910.
