Mayfair bank robbery suspect sought by police
Police and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed a TD Bank branch on Torresdale Avenue near Unruh in Mayfair Monday afternoon.

The FBI and Philadelphia Police Violent Crime Task Force are searching for a man who robbed a TD Bank branch on Frankford Avenue near Unruh in Mayfair Monday afternoon.
About 2:50 p.m., the man entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening demand note, police said.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he fled the scene on foot.
A surveillance camera recorded the incident, and police posted photos of the suspect online in hopes that help from the public will lead to an arrest.
The suspect is described as a white man in his early to mid 40s, who is between 5-feet-7 and 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with a zipper on the front, and a white baseball cap.
