A two-alarm fire at a store near Front and York streets shut down the Market-Frankford Line early Thursday night, police said.

The fire erupted at a store on Front Street at 5:26 p.m., according to Fire Department communications. At 6 p.m., it went to a second alarm as thick, dark smoke billowed from the store to the El tracks above.

Shuttle buses are currently running in place of Market-Frankford El trains between Berks and Huntingdon streets, SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel III confirmed.

No injuries as a result of the fire have been reported. Firefighters are still at the scene battling the blaze.
