Two charged in South Philly shooting

Two men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a South Philly shootout, police said.

Terrance Stockton, 22, and Edward Dollson, 26, are charged with gun violations, criminal conspiracy and related offenses after officers found the gray Ford Taurus they were allegedly riding in Thursday riddled with bullets in West Philly.

They apparently had driven the sedan all the way from 25th Street near Wolf in South Philly, where witnesses told investigators that they had gotten into a shootout with the driver of a blue Chevrolet Suburban, police said.

Stockton, of Homer Street near Rodney in West Oak Lane, had been dropped off at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. He remains there in stable condition, police said.

When investigators asked him about his wounds, he said he had been shot on 25th Street by an "unknown person," but refused to elaborate.

Not far from the hospital, on 40th Street near Woodland Avenue, investigators found Dollson behind the wheel of the Taurus. Also inside the car was a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun, police said.

Dollson, of Croskey Street near McKean in South Philly, was taken into custody.

Investigators are still looking for the Suburban allegedly involved in the shootout. The vehicle may have Delaware tags.
