Homicide detectives were busy investigating the murders of two young men shot only 45 minutes apart in two different neighborhoods earlier tonight, police said.
About 8 p.m. a 23-year-old man was found shot several times on Hart Lane near Kensington Avenue, in Kensington. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:38 p.m. Police haven't made any arrests and don't know of any suspects.
At 8:45 p.m., police found a man in his 30s who had been shot multiple times inside an SUV near Upsal Street near Rugby in the city's Stenton section. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 p.m. A suspect was being held for investigation of the killing.
Neither victim has been identified, police said.
