Two men hospitalized in separate shootings

Two men were wounded and taken to Temple University Hospital in separate shootings just before 11 p.m. in Kensington and North Philadelphia.

Police said one man was shot in the upper thigh on Dauphin Street near Front in Kensington at about 10:45 p.m.

The other was shot in the foot on Lehigh Avenue near 15th Street in North Philadelphia at about 10:50 p.m.

Officials said both men were listed in stable condition, and were shot near their homes.

Police are investigating both incidents, and as of 11:30 p.m. descriptions of the suspects involved were not available. Nor were the circumstances of the shootings.

Just before 1 a.m., police Chief Inspector Scott Small said neither victim would provide detectives with information on the suspects.
