Warrant issued in May 5 slaying in East Germantown

An arrest warrant has been issued for the man police say shot and killed a 21-year-old man in East Germantown on Saturday afternoon.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the man police say shot and killed a 21-year-old man in East Germantown on Saturday afternoon.

Police are looking for Jahleel Johnson, 20, in connection with the fatal shooting of Keenan Gaskins, 21, around 3 p.m. Saturday on Nelson Street near Woodlawn Avenue. Johnson's last known address is on Crowson Street near Woodlawn Avenue, also in East Germantown, a few blocks from where Gaskins was fatally shot in the chest.

Johnson is 5 feet 6 and weighs 145 pounds, police said. He's considered armed and dangerous.

Court records show that Johnson was found guilty of disorderly conduct and highway obstruction in March of this year for involvement of a fistfight.
