A 52-year-old woman was killed in a hit and run in Southwest Philadelphia late Monday night, cops said, and the hunt is on for the driver who fled the scene.
A 52-year-old woman was killed in a hit and run in Southwest Philadelphia late Monday night, cops said, and the hunt is on for the driver who fled the scene.
The woman was crossing Chester Avenue near 48th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. when a gray Chevrolet Tahoe traveling east on Chester struck her, according to Inspector Joseph Bartorilla.
The woman was pronounced dead by medics at the scene at 10:36 p.m. Police are now looking for the Tahoe, which they said has heavy front-end damage.
