A woman and a man were arrested and charged with separate murders over the weekend, police said.

Loidy Irrizarri-Marte, 23, of Godfrey Avenue near Front Street in Olney, is accused of fatally stabbing Luionel Perez, 21, in the neck early the morning of March 30 on Hasbrook Avenue near Benner Street in Crescentville. Perez, who lived on 6th Street near Lehigh Avenue in Fairhill, died on the street at 5:52 that morning, according to police. Irrizarri-Marte was arrested Friday and charged with murder and related offenses. She is being held without bail at Riverside Correctional Facility on State Road, according to court records.

Police this weekend also made an arrest in a May 2 shooting at a bar in Parkside that left two men dead and another critically wounded. Shaheed Warren, 33, of Wynnewood Road near Lansdowne Avenue in Overbrook, was charged with two counts of murder, aggravated assault and attempted murder in the shooting at 52nd Street and Girard Avenue.

One of the men slain in that shooting was identified as James Byrd Sr., 52, who lived on Hoopes Street near 51st in Mill Creek. The second was Dontae Brown, 27, who lived on Frazier Street near Grays Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, according to police. Both men died at the hospital shortly after the shooting around 1:30 a.m. that morning.

Warren is being held at the Detention Center on State Road. He was denied bail.

A police spokeswoman said an argument sparked that shooting. She did not have any information on what motivated Perez's stabbing.
