A woman was wounded when two men opened fire on a backyard party in Frankford Friday night, police said.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said a group of people were hanging out behind a house on Brill Street near Darrah when witnesses say two men walked up and fired five shots into the group. A 41-year-old woman was wounded in the leg, Small said.

The woman was taken to Aria Health's Frankford hospital in stable condition.

The men were last seen running east through the alley along Brill Street. No cameras were found in the area, Small said -- the backyard, in the middle of the block, backs up to a cemetery.

Cops were looking into the possibility that the shooting stemmed from fights that broke out on the block earlier in the day.
