Making walls come alive
If you've enjoyed any of the murals that have gone up since 1996, when the Mural Arts Program was born, stop by to give them some kudos at the Holiday Open House on Wednesday night, Dec. 17th.
Everybody's talking about making Philadelphia greener.
Well, one thing that can beautify any neighborhood by turning it more green (and blue, red, yellow, etc.) is Philly's world-famous Mural Arts Program.
If you've enjoyed any of the murals that have gone up since 1996, when the Mural Arts Program was born, stop by to give them some kudos at the Holiday Open House on Wednesday night, Dec. 17th. The Thomas Eakins House (1727-29 Mount Vernon Street) will be open for well-wishers from 4:00 to 7:00.
And while you're there, you can put your money where your well-wishing is, and get some cool last-minute holiday gifts like the MAP coffee-table book, the 2009 calendar or the commemorative Tastykake tin.
If you can't make it to the Holiday Open House, you can stop by in virtual form and check out their history and merchandise online.
