Fire damages Phila. school trailer

A fire broke out this morning at an elementary school in North Philadelphia.

Inquirer staff writer Wallace McKelvey reports:

A fire broke out this morning at an elementary school in North Philadelphia.

Authorities said the blaze damaged a trailer used as a pre-school at the Logan James School at 1700 Lindley Avenue in the Logan section.

The call came in at 7:11 a.m., before classes had started at the school, and the fire was soon brought under control. No injuries have been reported.

The cause is under investigation.

Classes will continue as scheduled, the school said.
