Inquirer staff writer Sam Wood reports:

An 82-year-old woman who wandered away from a Northeast Philadelphia assisted living facility was found dead on Saturday about two blocks from her home, police said.
May Short, who suffered from Alzheimers disease and dementia, disappeared Dec. 1 from the Oakwood Residence on Red Lion Road. A 5-day police manhunt came to a close Saturday afternoon, when a volunteer search and rescue squad from Montgomery County found her at 2:45 p.m. in a wooded area near the 10,000 block of Roosevelt Blvd.
