NJ clears hunters to bag feral pigs

The Associated Press reports:

Hoping to clear South Jersey of free-roaming swine, state officials will allow deer hunters to shoot and kill feral pigs.

The wild porkers have been destroying crops and landscaping in southern Gloucester County since mid-summer.

Division of Fish and Wildlife spokesman Al Ivany said the state is trying to eradicate the pigs before they become a more serious problem.
