State police trooper involved in I-95 shooting

Inquirer staff writer Joelle Farrell reports:

A state police trooper was involved in a shooting and a high speed chase on Interstate 95 in Tinicum, Delaware County late this afternoon, according to a county law enforcement official.

The trooper was not injured in the shooting, but a suspect was shot and transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, the official said.

The state police have scheduled a press conference for 6 p.m.
