Big first prize in Haverford Trust Classic golf

For many in the field of 132 Philadelphia area club professionals, it's the biggest payday they have ever seen.

For many, if not all, in the field of 132 Philadelphia area club professionals, it's the biggest payday they have ever seen.

The Philadelphia Section PGA will conduct the Haverford Trust Classic on Tuesday at Sunnybrook Golf Club in Plymouth Meeting. The player who turns in the lowest score for the 18 holes will take home a check for $45,000, largest in the section and one of the most lucrative in the country.

Chris Wisler of Tee It Up Golf is the defending champion. Other former champs in the field are Travis Deibert (2009) of Commonwealth National, George Forster (2008) of Radnor Valley and Dave Quinn (2005) of Links.

Also in the field is Stu Ingraham of MGolf, who is coming off a tie for 60th at the Senior PGA Championship held last weekend at Valhalla in Louisville, Ky.
