Rebecca Minkoff designer condoms hit stores this week

Rebecca Minkoff is after all, the designer behind the controversially-named and bestselling Morning-After Bag.

Studded designer condoms by Rebecca Minkoff?

If you've heard that name before, it's most likely because she is the brainchild behind the controversially-named (and coveted) Morning-After Bag.

In September, the designer debuted her line of designer condoms in her swag bags at her Sp/Su 2012 show at NYFW, stating, "These days you need to be careful. So, it was a no brainer to design something fun and give it a little twist."

Starting this week, they're available in stores and online.

She tells Glamour, "I loved the idea of designing a condom that was made by a woman for a woman." Minkoff adds that she was able to adapt the classic studded designs that she uses on her bags, and applied that to the "premium lubricated latex" and packaging of the condoms.

Minkoff collaborated with Proper Attire and developed three designs in dots, sheer and basic- which cost $5.99 for a 3 pack. Other designers who have also teamed up with Proper Attire include Alexander Wang, Charlotte Ronson, Jeremy Scott and Vena Cava. Proceeds from sales will benefit Planed Parenthood.
