Plum Organics recalls Little Crèmes organic rice milk snacks

Plum Organics is voluntarily recalling its Little Crèmes organic rice milk snacks line after it was found that the product has the potential to cause choking, according to a FDA press release.

Plum Organics voluntarily recalled its Little Crèmes organic rice milk snacks line after it was found that the product has the potential to cause choking.

The small, bite-sized snack pieces were made to soften in a child's mouth in less than 20 seconds making them easy to swallow, but some pieces were found to take significantly longer than this. This created a potential choking hazard, particularly for babies and very young children.

Plum recalled the product after it received complaints from consumers, including reports of injuries. No other Plum Organics products are affected by this recall, according to a U.S. Food and Drug Adminstration press release. Consumers are advised to dispose of the product.

The recall affects all Little Crèmes varieties:

  1. Super Purples (acai, blackberry & purple carrot)

  2. Super Reds (pomegranate, beet & berry)

  3. Super Greens (kale, apple & sweet potato)
