Starting today, 500 journalists who belong to the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies are hitting the town for their annual convention.
And with the alternative bags they'll be carrying, they'll be easy to spot.
That's because many of the bags have an unusual illustration of Mayor Nutter - one that depicts him as slightly older and portly, and one he may not want to use for an official portrait.
But he is happy.
Another part of the illustration suggests shows Daryl Hall and John Oats. Are they the new faces of Philadelphia?
"I wanted it to be like a silly, kitchy postcard showing off the city in a silly, happy way... with a little zing," said artist Thom Lessner, a 31-year-old transplant from Columbus, OH. He drew the bags for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp.
You be the judge.
