Some activists over at Young Philly Politics are making outrageous demands of city government. Believe it or not, they actually think election results ought to be made easily accessible to the public and put online.
Actually, the City Commissioners DO make election results available online to a select group of paying customers and connected political operatives. But according to the letter the commissioners wrote YPP denying their request, the database they use is limited to about 150 users, so public access is impossible.
One wonders how they manage such a complex technological feat elsewhere.
