Brady money for parades

Brady to announce "preliminary funding" for some parades and festivals.

Congressman Bob Brady on Wednesday will announce a "preliminary round of funding" for his "Greater Philadelphia Traditions Fund," a nonprofit he helped create that will give money to the Mummers and other groups to pay for costs imposed by the city. Brady's advisory on the press conference on the funding contained few details. His fundraising efforts were driven by a Nutter administration policy of charging parade and festival organizers for police overtime and other costs associated with their events.
