Council overrides Nutter on parades

City Council Thursday morning overrode Mayor Nutter's veto of a bill that requires the city to absorb all police costs for security and crowd control at parades and community events.

The vote was 14-3, with Council members W. Wilson Goode Jr., Jack Kelly and Curtis Jones Jr. voting against the override.
