This Week's AVI Community Meetings Set

The Nutter administration today announced more meetings this week to help residents understand the Actual Value Initiative (AVI), the mayor's property tax reform.

As part of AVI, the city mailed to every property owner in the city the results of a recent reassessment, along with options for appealing the assessment and applying for a tax exemption. The community sessions allow residents to "drop-in" and ask questions of city staffers.

This is the second week in a row the administraiton has hosted these meetings.

Upcoming outreach sessions are as follows:

• Wednesday, March 13, 6-9pm - Shiloh Baptist Church, 2040 Christian Street

• Thursday, March 14, 6-9pm - Archbishop Ryan High School, 11201 Academy Road

• Saturday, March 16, 10am-2 pm - Chestnut Hill Library, 8711 Germantown Avenue

• Saturday, March 16, 10am-5 pm - Francisville Recreation Center, 1737-39 Francis Street
