Fog, flight delays for travelers

Commuters and travelers should brace for continued fog and possible delays Wednesday afternoon and evening.

For those driving around the area, the National Weather Service is warning of patchy dense fog along the Interstate 95 corridor that's expected to remain through the evening. Visibility is as low as a quarter mile in some places.

With more rain expected for the region, reduced visibility is likely throughout the day. Local police departments were reminding motorists to drive carefully in the poor conditions.

And people flying at Philadelphia International Airport should also be prepared for some delays.

Arrival delays were reported starting early Wednesday morning and were averaging more than an hour and a half by early afternoon, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Other airports along the East Coast were also reporting delays due to the weather conditions.
