See SEPTA's holiday-themed buses on Monday

Some SEPTA buses are decked out for the holidays, vying for the title of "most festive." Eight decorated buses were scheduled to be on display at Dilworth Plaza on Saturday, but the event has been postponed due to weather.

Some SEPTA buses are decked out for the holidays and vied for the title of "most festive."

The transit agency's eight bus districts compete each year in a vehicle-decorating competition. All eight decorated buses will be on display for the first time this year.

People can see the holiday-themed vehicles from on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest at Penn's Landing. (The event was originally to take place Saturday at Dilworth Park, but was postponed due to potential inclement weather.)

For now, here's a sneak peek at the winning buses.

First place: The Frontier District's Charlie Brown-themed "Chuck's Holiday Ride"

Third place: The Allegheny District's "Star Ride"

The holiday-themed buses aren't the only recently decorated SEPTA vehicles: A Route 47 bus was just wrapped with images of Philadelphia and quotations from the route's diverse ridership as part of a new multimedia project.
