SEPTA riders reminder: Buy your tickets before you get on the train
Just a reminder, starting today SEPTA won't be selling tickets on Regional Rail trains departing Philadelphia.
The change was prompted by the ongoing scheduling crunch created by the loss of SEPTA's Silverliner V cars. Apparently people have been complaining about other riders getting free rides because conductors didn't have time to check all passengers' tickets on overcrowded trains. Requiring tickets before allowing passengers onto the platform should also speed boarding and get trains out of stations faster, he said.
The collection change is temporary, he said.
